New leather project, lip balm pouch key chain
After I received the rotary cutter I am more productive with my hobby than ever. Below you will see one of my my new leather project. The other ones are still in making. I will show you when they are finish.
I have got my rotary cutter
Last week I have got my rotary cutter that I have ordered from internet. It came all the way from Japan. I need the cutter for my leather hobby.
I have tried the cutter directly after I have opened the parcel. To be honest I am really happy with it, it cut the leather very good and smoothly. I didn't expect it due to the price that is really affordable.
Below is the picture of the cutter:

Leather envelope
Today I have purchased a pile of new leather for my new leather projects. As soon as I was back from the store, I right started to make this leather envelope. It has not finished yet but it looks like below picture. You can use it as envelope or a wrap for a voucher gift to give to someone. So the envelope is also a part of the whole gift. It always nice to suprise someone with something small and difference. It will give more personal touch to your gift. So it is not just only a regular voucher gift any more.
Pincushion for around your wrist
I have just finished my pincushion. Some time when your busy with making a sewing project, you can't always find the stuff you need especially when it is very small like pins or needles. So that is why I made this pincushion that you can put around your wrist.

Before I was finishing the wallet project I already started making this baby shoe. I was not planning to start sewing it right away but I could not wait to see the result. So I started to sew the right one and finished the sewing although still I have to give it the finishing touch.
So far it looks like below:

Jugendstil tiles
Yesterday when I visited the secondhand real estate material store, I couldn't resist to not buy at lease a piece of those tiles. So I bought 10 small pieces of their collection. See above pictures.
They are Jugendstil or Art nouveau tiles. They are made around at the end of 18th to begin 19th century.
What I am gonna do with those tiles, I don't know yet but I really love them. There are so many possibilities that you can do with those tiles. I will let you know what it will be.
Enjoy the pictures.

100 years old tiles, antique tile, tegel antik
Today I visited the secondhand real estate material store. It looked like that they are more specialized in tiles. There were old tiles every where. I went crazy... they were so beautiful.
The tiles were from around 18th to 19th century. I have taken a couple of pictures to show you all on this blog. Today it is a bit a rainy day that is why the tiles are dirty. The tiles are lying on the ground outdoor as example.
The funny of it is, those tiles are similar as the tiles are also found and made in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In Indonesia those kind of tiles are famous as "tegel kunci" or kunci tile. The tiles are named after a famous tile factory that wa founded by 2 dutch people in 1920.
The factory is still open till today although it has been taken over by other family and the name of the factory has been changed to Kunci. They are still producing the same motifs and also still using the hand made methods as one century ago. Quiet amazing ha!!!
So enjoy the pictures.
